Definitions of Character: Self-Portraits by Creative Arts of Women (CAW)

The Friends of the Library is pleased to present CAW’s first-ever exhibition, which introduces more than 35 of the group’s artists to the community through portraiture.

CAW is a collective of women who are joining their creative forces for inspiration and a greater good. These Columbus-based artists provide career support to one other while also engaging together to serve the community. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of work in this exhibit will benefit CHOICES – a nonprofit organization devoted to eliminating domestic violence.

The exhibit, on display in the Carnegie Gallery (2nd floor of the Main Library), runs through Feb. 19.

Once again, Columbus Alive is running its “Best of Columbus” poll. The good news for library fans is that we have two opportunities to show our love and appreciation for The Library Store.

Follow the link above and cast a vote for The Library Store in the categories of best bookstore and best shopping.

Vote today and share with those who appreciate our great Library Store…and library!  The poll closes on Monday, Jan. 25.

You’re invited!

Join us Thursday, January 21 at 5:30p.m. as we celebrate the opening of our Main Library Homework Help Center. The new center is designed for kids to complete homework with staff and volunteers to assist. Public school textbooks and on-site supplies are available. The Friends of the Library are proud to support this endeavour in conjunction with the Ingram-White Castle Foundation.
